Homeowner Concerns

Many roofing companies offer estimates. Davis General Contractors has implemented a program that will blow away the typical roofer's estimate. We are General Contractors and are experienced in handling most all of your project needs — from Roofing, Gutters, Window Glass, Screens, Glazing/Beading, Siding, Skylights, Fences, Insulation, Radiant Barrier and more. Our licensed insurance adjusters will go to work for you to make sure the insurance company identifies all repairs to your property and pays fair market value for those repairs. We will also pay top dollar to the homeowner for our advertsising and referral program. This program normally enables us to address all of your financial concerns. Our goal is to make your project stress free.

If your insurance company is covering your repairs, look into 3-4 companies and make sure each of those companies provides a True Claims Assistance Program. This is much more beneficial to homeowners than 3-4 different estimates. At first glance, your initial Insurance Estimate may seem low, but this is a very common occurence. After all, if a homeowner chooses to commit insurance fraud and not to repair their damages, the insurance co. will be out less $$.

We are here to help people understand the process. We will walk you through each step and answer any questions along the way.

Here are a few questions to ask a contractor during your appointment with them:

  1. Are you insured?
  2. Do you hand nail or use nail guns?
  3. How many nails do you install per shingle?
  4. Do you provide a Claims Assistance Program and do you have licensed adjusters on staff?
  5. Can you handle all my repairs, not just my roof?
  6. Are you a member of the Better Business Bureau?
  7. Are you a local company and will you be around to help me in the future?
  8. Do you cut costs by hiring inexperienced crews or ordering second-hand material?
  9. Do you provide a labor warranty and what kind of manufacturer's warranty can you provide?
  10. How long will it take to complete the job?
  11. Will your crews provide a thorough clean-up?
  12. Do I pay anything prior to job-start?
